Description

Delight in these quick and flavorful turkey burgers, bursting with tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts—perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Toppings: Lettuce leaves (for serving), Sliced tomato (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid dense burgers.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it gently into patties about one inch thick. Place them on a plate lined with parchment paper.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil to coat the bottom. Allow it to heat for about two minutes.
  4. Carefully place each patty in the skillet once hot. Cook for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through—internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
  5. Layer each patty on lettuce leaves and top with sliced tomatoes. Add any additional condiments you prefer.
  6. Transfer to plates and serve immediately while hot. These burgers pair beautifully with sweet potato fries or a refreshing salad.
