Description
Delight in these quick and flavorful turkey burgers, bursting with tart cranberries and crunchy walnuts—perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 cup chopped fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the Toppings: Lettuce leaves (for serving), Sliced tomato (for serving)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped cranberries, chopped walnuts, breadcrumbs, egg, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined to avoid dense burgers.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it gently into patties about one inch thick. Place them on a plate lined with parchment paper.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil to coat the bottom. Allow it to heat for about two minutes.
- Carefully place each patty in the skillet once hot. Cook for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through—internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
- Layer each patty on lettuce leaves and top with sliced tomatoes. Add any additional condiments you prefer.
- Transfer to plates and serve immediately while hot. These burgers pair beautifully with sweet potato fries or a refreshing salad.
