Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Grease a baking sheet or pizza stone with olive oil.
- Roll out the risen dough to about a quarter-inch thick on a floured surface.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to the prepared baking surface and spread pizza sauce evenly over it.
- Sprinkle cooked sausage over the sauce followed by an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
