Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour and sugar.
- Cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add cold water until a dough forms. Shape into a disk, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- While the dough chills, prepare your apples by peeling, coring, and slicing them.
- Toss sliced apples with sugar and cinnamon in a bowl until evenly coated.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface into a rough circle (about 12 inches in diameter).
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
