Description

Indulge in these savory meatballs paired with creamy sweet potato mash and rich maple sauce—a comforting dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for about 25 minutes or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach at least 165°F).
  5. While the meatballs are baking, boil sweet potatoes in salted water until fork-tender, about 15 minutes.
  6. Drain and return to pot. Add butter, salt, and pepper; mash until smooth.
  7. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine maple syrup, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar (if using), and minced garlic.
  8. Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
