Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cupcake pan with paper liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about three minutes).
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Mix in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture while alternating with milk until smooth.
- Fold in M&Ms: Gently fold half of the M&Ms into the batter. Reserve the rest for topping. Spoon the batter into prepared liners until two-thirds full.
- Bake: Bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool and Decorate: Allow cupcakes to cool before adding remaining M&Ms on top.
