Description

Delight in this creamy Mexican Chicken Cheese Sauce, featuring tender chicken enveloped in a cheesy, spiced sauce—perfect for tacos, burritos, or simply over rice!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
  • 1 packet taco seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in the prepared dish.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, drizzle some oil and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. In a bowl, mix sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, green chiles, and taco seasoning until well combined.
  5. Pour half of the sauce mixture over the seasoned chicken and gently toss to combine.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  7. Transfer servings onto plates and drizzle with remaining sauce before serving.
