Description

Indulge in this luscious Instant Pot Chocolate Lava Cake, where a rich, gooey chocolate center meets a perfectly baked exterior, making every bite an unforgettable experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Batter: In a large bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth. Combine both mixtures until just blended; do not overmix.
  2. Add Chocolate Chips: Gently fold in the chocolate chips to create that delicious molten center.
  3. Prepare Your Ramekins: Grease four ramekins with butter or non-stick spray. Pour an equal amount of batter into each ramekin, filling them about halfway.
  4. Set Up Your Instant Pot: Add one cup of water to the bottom of your Instant Pot. Place a trivet inside and arrange the filled ramekins on top. Secure the lid and set to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
  5. Release & Serve: Once cooking is complete, carefully perform a quick release to let out steam. Remove the ramekins with tongs and let them cool slightly before serving.
  6. Enjoy: Invert onto plates and serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
