Description
A comforting dish that combines tender gnocchi with a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for cozy dinners.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16 oz) gnocchi (store-bought)
- 8 oz fresh mushrooms (cremini or button), sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once hot, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Sauté until golden brown and fragrant, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Lower the heat slightly and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well, scraping up any bits stuck to the skillet. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes until it thickens.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese until melted and combined with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet and gently toss until coated in the creamy sauce. Heat together for another minute.
- Transfer onto plates or bowls, topping with chopped parsley for added freshness.
