  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about two minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients into the butter-egg mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  7. For topping, mix chopped nuts with brown sugar and sprinkle on top of the batter.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before drizzling with melted chocolate chips.
