Description

Cheesy Garlic Cruffins are a delicious fusion of flaky croissants and savory muffins, bursting with gooey cheese and aromatic garlic. Perfect for breakfast or as a delightful snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Gradually add warm water and melted butter until combined.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, punch down the dough and roll out into a rectangle about half an inch thick.
  6. Spread softened butter over the surface, then sprinkle minced garlic and shredded cheese evenly across.
  7. Starting from one edge, roll up tightly into a log shape and slice into six equal pieces.
  8. Place each piece upright in muffin tins and gently press down to fit snugly.
  9. Cover with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for approximately 25 minutes until golden brown.
