  • 3 large eggs
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pastry cream (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about three minutes).
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with milk until just combined.
  6. Spoon batter into prepared cupcake liners about two-thirds full.
