Description

Blueberry Cream Cheese Egg Rolls are a crispy dessert filled with sweet blueberries and creamy cheese, making them an irresistible treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 10 egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, fresh blueberries, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Lay out an egg roll wrapper with one corner pointing towards you.
  3. Spoon about two tablespoons of the blueberry cream cheese mixture onto the center of the wrapper.
  4. Fold the bottom corner over the filling tightly, then fold in the side corners like an envelope. Roll it up towards the top corner and seal with a little water.
  5. Heat about two inches of oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully place your egg rolls into the hot oil and fry them for about three minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove with tongs and let drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm, optionally dusted with powdered sugar.
