Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and fluffy. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, prepare the cake mix according to package instructions, adding eggs and any required liquid ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  4. Spread half of the cake batter evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the batter.
  6. Scatter fresh blueberries on top of the cream cheese layer.
  7. Spread the remaining cake batter over the blueberries.
  8. In a bowl, mix melted butter with any remaining cake mix until crumbly, then sprinkle it over the top of the assembled layers.
