Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, deveined
- 1 cup lump crab meat
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk (or half-and-half for extra creaminess)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3 minutes. Gently fold in the crab meat and heat through before removing from heat.
- In another saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until smooth to create a roux.
- Gradually whisk in milk until thickened (about 5 minutes). Remove from heat and mix in cheddar cheese and garlic powder until melted smoothly. Add Old Bay seasoning.
- Fold cooked shrimp and crab into the cheese sauce until well coated. Pour this mixture into your prepared baking dish, smoothing the top evenly.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top and bake for about 25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
