Description
Delightfully spooky, these chocolate-covered strawberry ghosts are fun to make and perfect for Halloween festivities. Juicy strawberries meet creamy chocolate for a treat that’s sure to impress!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 1 cup semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare Your Strawberries: Rinse the strawberries under cool water and gently pat them dry with paper towels. Ensure they are completely dry to help the chocolate adhere properly.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips with coconut oil. Microwave in intervals of 30 seconds, stirring in between until smooth and fully melted.
- Dip Those Ghosts: Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate until fully coated. Allow excess chocolate to drip off before placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill Out: Place the dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely.
- Create Ghostly Faces: Melt white chocolate chips using the same method as before. Use a piping bag or toothpick to draw eyes and mouths on each ghostly strawberry using mini chocolate chips as eyes.
- Serve with a Spooky Smile: Arrange your delightful creations on a platter and serve chilled for an extra refreshing bite.
